Happy Women’s Day!!

Does this day come more than once a year?

On a lighter note, it is always said that why does one need to celebrate Women’s day when all 365 days it’s her who rules the house?

But, is that so in reality? Is there any deliberate attempt to portray her as a symbol of sacrifice and keep her away from all significant decision-making processes in-house?

How much of an attempt is made to make her financially literate and independent? Though the concept of double income in the household has made her one of the contributing factors, has it made her really economically independent? I don’t think so. Besides a few exceptions, she still has to play second fiddle in the house. It’s high time, she too becomes financially independent. This can only happen through education and acquiring financial literacy.

In many cases, Housewives are scared to learn and take responsibility for money management unless forced upon them by unfortunate incidents. In the sudden exit of “Karta” of family, they become vulnerable to financial doom…It is of critical importance that, every house must have a good financial plan and wealth transfer template.

On this Women’s Day, I urge all Laxmi’s to play their role in taking decisions on Investments and become financially literate. “Ashtabhuja” of the modern world must now have financial knowledge in one of her hands.

Go further down the rabbit hole…
